An album that marked Ravi Chary's solo foray into world music, was launched by Ustad Zakir Hussain. Aptly named 'Crossing' by the legend, this album showcases the multiple facets of Ravi Chary's musical prowess. The album in the Indo Jazz Fusion genre, features an eclectic mix of Indian musicians – Louiz Banks, Ranjit Barot, Sivamani, Fazal Qureshi, Taufiq Qureshi, Sridhar Parthasarthy, Gino Banks, Satyajit Talwalkar, Sheldon D’Silva, Aditya Kalyanpur, Mukul Dongre, Dhruv Ghanekar, Harmit Manseta, Sangeet Haldipur, Amit Heri, Merlin D’Souza & Rhys Sebastian.

A firmly established Sitarist of international repute, in 'Crossing', Ravi Chary explored newer sounds, as he composed every track in this album. The absence of lyrics has made this a universally accepted album, with some brilliant touches from Gino Banks, as the creative director.

'Crossing' was nominated for the GIMA awards.
